Antelope Island is the perfect sunrise or sunset viewing spot. It is well worth the 40 minute drive from Salt Lake City, and it flies by (especially when you sleep on the way back, like I did, whoops). There’s something invigorating about getting up early and taking a drive, pouring orange juice into fancy Denby teacups, and eating homemade cinnamon rolls, while watching the sun come up with the people you love. Definitely one of my top ten favorite Utah memories so far.
Plus, unlike hiking, it takes no energy, and can be enjoyed by the whole family (as long as you go to bed early the night before ; ) Go make some memories. The world is your playground, and it’s waiting for you to dive in.
Directions: Take Exit 332 off I-15. Drive west on Antelope Drive for 7 miles to the park entrance. Drive 7 miles across the narrow causeway to the island.
